Villiger 1888 NIcaragua Gordo Box open

Villiger North America has announced the extension of its 1888 Nicaragua line with two sizes, a Churchill and a Gordo. The two new cigars were available for preorder in March at this year’s PCA trade show in Las Vegas and have now started shipping to retailers.

The Gordo is the thickest in the line, measuring 60 x 152 mm (6″) and priced at $10. On the other hand, the Churchill is the longest, at 47 x 178 mm (7″) and priced at $9.60. The line now consists of five sizes.

Although Villiger 1888 Nicaragua has been available internationally, it was introduced to the US market only last year. It is produced in Estelí, Nicaragua, at the Villiger de Nicaragua factory, using an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a mix of Nicaraguan and Pennsylvania Broadleaf fillers. All sizes are sold in blue 20-ct boxes.
