Next month, Tabacalera S.L.U. will launch the VegaFina Year of the Snake 2025, a 56 x 159 mm (6 1/4″) corona extra with a long pigtail designed to resemble a snake’s tongue.
The cigars feature red and gold packaging symbolizing prosperity and are grouped in sets of eight, reflecting the number’s lucky reputation.
They come with an updated VegaFina band and consist of an Ecuadorian wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, made at Tabacalera de García in the Dominican Republic.
Chinese New Year, marking the Year of the Snake, starts on Jan. 29, 2025. In Spain, the cigar will retail for €11.50 ($12.45), with a limited production of 5,750 boxes of 16 cigars.
