Toscano Master Aged Serie 3

Toscano Master Aged Serie 3 1600 900 Giuseppe Mitolo

The Toscano Master Aged Serie 3 is the third cigar in the “Master Aged” line, designed by Toscano to offer a typically Italian product exclusively for specific global markets.

Each number in the series identifies a different blend: number 3 uses Kentucky fire-cured tobacco, grown in Kentucky and Tennessee for the filling, rolled in a Tennessee-grown wrapper. The cigars are machine-made.

Visually, the cigar is dressed in a brown wrapper with brown reflections, very wrinkled to the touch with very pronounced veins. The filling and draw are good.

Toscano Master Aged Serie 3

Toscano Master Aged Serie 3: unlit, you can perceive intense aromas of barnyard, peat and leather, enriched by less evident but easily recognizable earthy tones.

Toscano Master Aged Serie 3

Once lit, the smoke is delicately sapid but also bitter, all enriched by a well-defined spiciness. The profile confirms vibrant peat notes, followed by less evident characters of leather and mineral nuances. Strength is medium-high (4/5).

The sapidity grows in intensity in the second half, and the slight bitterness is confirmed while the spiciness fades. The peat note is not as marked as before, while aromas of bitter almond and wood are now perceived. Strength becomes full (5/5).

In conclusion, the Toscano Master Aged Serie 3 is an excellent representation of North American Kentucky fire-cured tobacco revisited according to the bicentennial tradition of Toscano. The cigar is powerful in strength and body, suffering only slightly in terms of refinement. But anyone who lights a cigar made of Kentucky fire-cured tobacco is willing to sacrifice the typical refinement of a Caribbean for the impetus of an Italian cigar.
