The 2020 Partagás Legado Edición Limitada has made it’s first public appearance. The preview party was hosted in Madrid, Spain, by Tabacalera S.L.U., and a private cigar club called Club Pasión. The Partagás is the only Edición Limitada cigar scheduled for the 2020 release. Usually, there are three cigars for that particular year’s Edición Limitada program, which started in 2005. There is no official reason for just the one cigar, but like so many other things that are delayed or canceled, guessing it is due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2020 Partagás Legado Edición Limitada is a Grand Corona measuring in at 48 ring gauge by 157mm (6.125″). This vitola is also known as the Hermosos No. 2. This vitola has only been used for special releases and hasn’t been incorporated into any of Habanos S.A.’s regular production releases. All the Tobacco used in the Legado is grown in the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba’s Pinar del Rió. The tobacco is aged for a minimum of two years. Cigars come packaged in 25-count boxes. Spain is the first country to experience the Legado, but retailers in other countries will also be receiving the 2020 Edición Limitada. No release totals were given from Habanos S.A. for the Legado. MSRP pricing will vary depending on the country you purchase.
