Southern Draw Cedrus Belicoso

Visually, the product is wrapped in a slightly opaque Maduro wrapper. It appears slightly rustic to the touch, with fairly perceptible veins. The filling does not appear particularly generous and in fact the draw turns out to be a little open. The overall construction is good, characterized by an evident box-press.

Southern Draw Cedrus Belicoso

Southern Draw Cedrus Belicoso: perfumes of cocoa and earth are perceived in the cold draw, together with less evident notes of black pepper and hazelnut.

Southern Draw Cedrus Belicoso

It opens with a combination of sapid and acidic flavors, of good intensity, also enriched by a slightly spicy perception, which lasts throughout the first third. The flavors are reminiscent of earth, the wood and a slight citrus nuance. Strength is medium – light (2/5).

In the central part, the initial sapid/acidic perception, while remaining unchanged, decrease in intensity, while the spice disappears. The cigar reveals mineral notes, citrus, wood and walnut. Strength becomes medium (3/5).

In the last third, the acidity gives way to a bitterness, which increases over the minutes. The wood and walnut become very pronounced, while the citrus note remains unchanged. Strength increases, becoming medium-full (4/5).

Overall, this Southern Draw Cedrus Belicoso shows an interesting flavor profile, with evident and well balanced aromas. However, the balance of the flavors on the palate (the pronounced initial acidity and the growing bitterness in the finale) appears critical. Strength also gets out of control with a peak towards the end, which tends to over shadow the flavors. Good evolution.
