Ramon Allones 898 Dunhill Seleccion: before lighting the cigar up, cocoa and cedar wood can be made perceived. Opening is nutty, and the cigar quickly picks up.
After the first few puffs, fine wood, herbs and spices (black pepper in particular) are reaching the palate. Strength is slightly higher than medium (3,5/5).
In the second third, the fine wood keep its major role, paired sometimes with earth and sometimes with vanilla. Background becomes sweet and strength reaches a medium-high level (4/5).
Smoke is completely changing in the last third: nutty (walnut) and herbs (with intense balsamic components) are alternating. Strength decreases, moving back to a medium plus (3,5/5).
Overall, the Ramon Allones 898 Dunhill Seleccion deliver a good intensity. It is a creamy and refined smoke. Evolution can be perceived, and strength is always under control, providing a great balance. Interesting smoke due to several reasons. First of all, these cigars share nothing with the last Ramon Allones sold between the ’70s and 2002. In fact, 898 Dunhill Seleccìon gives off a more harmonious and simple approach, without compromising in complexity.
