Raíces Cubanas, a Honduran cigar factory that launched its own cigar brands last year, has announced the introduction of its first limited edition cigar.
The Liga de Reyes Salomón is a Double Figurado size measuring 58 x 165 mm (6 1/2″). This cigar is an addition to the Liga de Reyes line, which debuted last year with five vitolas. The blend features a wrapper from Trojes, Honduras, dual binders from the Jamastran Valley in Honduras, and another leaf from Estelí, Nicaragua. Additionally, it includes four fillers sourced from the Jamastran and Trojes regions.
Each cigar will have a suggested retail price of $13.50, and production will be limited to 2,000 boxes of 10 cigars each. The cigars will be showcased to retailers at this week’s PCA and are expected to ship to stores in July.
The factory located in Danlí, Honduras, is famous for producing cigars for brands such as Alec Bradley, Illusione, and Viaje. Last year, the Endemaño family, owners of the factory, launched their brands under the Raíces Cubanas name. Ralph Montero, a longtime executive at Alec Bradley, leads the company’s operations in the U.S.
