Plasencia Cosecha 149

Plasencia Cigars has announced that the Cosecha 149 is now shipping to retailers. The new line first debuted at this year’s PCA (Premium Cigar Association) trade show in Las Vegas. For people not familiar with the word “Cosecha,” it translates to “Harvest.” The new line celebrates the brand’s 149th yearly tobacco harvest, which happened back in 2014. The Plasencia family felt that the aged crop from that harvest had reached perfection this year. With such a good crop, the Plasencia Cosecha 149 was created.

The Plasencia Cosecha 149 is a Box-Pressed Honduran puro. All of the tobacco was sourced from the Plasencia family’s various Honduran farms. The cigars are sold in 10-count boxes that have the brand’s logo etched in copper. The Cosecha 149 cigar bands follow the box design with a copper foil band. The three vitolas for the 149 are Sante Fe, a 60 by 124mm (4.875″) Gordito cigar, with an MSRP of $12 per cigar; La Vega, a 52 by 127mm (5″) Robusto, with an MSRP of $13 per cigar; and Azuacualpa, a 52 by 152mm (6″) Toro cigar, with an MSRP of $14.50 per cigar.
