The Partagás Línea Maestra is the first in the history of Habanos S.A. to be made with 100% San Luis tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo plantations in Pinar del Río.
All cigars of this new line feature a ‘Marble Head” finish and an elegant blue presentation. It comes in three sizes: Maestro, Origen, and Rito. They are sold in luxury boîte nature boxes containing 20 cigars.
The cigars are rolled in oily and smooth Colorado wrapper, with a reddish hue. There are only a few small veins present. Construction is perfect and the filling is generous. While unusual, the blue color is quite appealing to the eye.

Partagás Línea Maestra Origen: the cold draw reveals aromas of clean tobacco and hay. Once lit, the cigar opens with creamy cappuccino and hazelnut.
Further into the first third, aromas of wood and cinnamon are added to the cappuccino and hazelnut from the opening. The strength is a solid medium (3/5).
A leather note is joins the profile in the second third. The smoke is creamy. The strength increases slightly (3.5/5).
Things shift gear in the last third, as the cappuccino note is replaced by espresso aromas and the cinnamon spice by black pepper. Leather, wood, and hazelnut remain present in the background. The strength increases again, becoming medium-full (4/5).
Overall, the Partagás Línea Maestra Origen is a balanced and complex smoke. The flavor profile and strength level harmonize well together, and while being medium-full, they still make for a very elegant smoking experience. It is no wonder that it was the best Cuban cigar in 2024.
