Padron Serie 1964 Diplomatico Maduro: hints of hay and spices are perceptible in the cold draw. The opening brings notes of cocoa and spices to the palate.
The first third reveals a mix of cocoa, almond and light spices. A very creamy smoke and, continuing, aromatic palette becomes ample: outlined by notes of walnut and white pepper, the latter is present in the retrohale. Strength is medium (3/5).
The second third alternates earth and black pepper. Ripe fruits in the background. In some puff are also peaks of spiciness present. Confronted with the first third, the aromatic intensity declines slightly, while the strength increases becoming medium full (4/5).
The final third sees the aromatic intensity increase again. Alternating a mix of earth, spices and chili spice that follow until the end of the smoke. Strength stays constant, not unraveling in the finale, and gives rise to a balanced, as well as satisfying, finish.
