The Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Corona Natural belongs to a prestigious line of the brand, created back in 1994 to commemorate the brand’s 30th anniversary. All the cigars in the line are available in both Natural and Maduro versions. The difference is exclusively in the type of wrapper leaf used.

Padron 1964 Corona Natural

The cigars are dressed up in a Colorado leaf that is somewhat rough to the touch. As per Padron tradition, they come slightly box-pressed. Construction is flawless, with a generous and uniform filling.

Padron 1964 Corona Natural 2

Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Corona Natural: the cold draw delivers scents of earth and spices with a touch of nutmeg. The opening is earthy and peppery.

Padron 1964 Corona Natural 3

The first third delivers vegetal notes, earth, and spices (a mix of black pepper and chili). Strength is medium-full (4/5).

In the second third, the spices get richer, with the chili aromas now being the protagonist and accompanied by black pepper, earth, leather, and vegetal notes, the latter in the background. Strength doesn’t change (4/5).

In the final third, the flavor profile is confirmed, with the only difference being that the vegetal component gets more intense towards the end. The strength becomes full (5/5), and the balance is on the razor’s edge in the last puffs. The finale is fulfilling.

Overall, the cigar is structured and boasts a nice flavor profile. It’s a bold smoke, like the other cigars belonging to the 1964 Series. The evolution is linear, and the strength becomes a little overwhelming in the final third.
