Montecristo Churchill Añejados is the second release under the Añejados line, that was introduced in 2015. The cigars are aged for at least five years, after the are rolled, before they are release to the market. Another characteristic of the Añejados line is that the chosen size is not in the regular production portfolio of the marca.

The wrapper is smooth and of a Colorado shade. Filling is uniform and they are slightly square in appearance (box pressed).
Montecristo Anejados Churchill: the cold draw reveals light notes of wood. Once lit, the first few puffs develop rich notes of herb.
Wood, earth and nuts (hazelnut) are present in the first third. The background reveals spicy notes (black pepper).
The aromatic intensity increases in the second third, with the spices becoming more present. Chili spice is perceptible. Strength becomes medium full (4/5) and the smoke is very creamy.
A mix of cocoa, black pepper and hot spices make up the aromatic palette of the last third. Strength stays constant.
Overall, a cigar with a great balance and intensity. The evolution is perceptible, it give this Churchill an extra gear and the aromatic palette is close to the Montecristo brand.
