Macanudo Emissary Espana Torpedo Box Pressed

This week, the Macanudo Emissary España is introducing a new size, the first limited edition release for the line.

The Macanudo Emissary España Torpedo is a box-pressed cigar with dimensions of 52 x 152 mm (6″). Like the four regular production sizes, it features a five-year-old Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper and a six-year-old binder from Condega, Nicaragua. The filler includes four different tobaccos from: Colombian, the Dominican Republic, Nicaraguan, and Spain. The latter is grown near Riolobos, in Cáceres, known for its rocky soil and Mediterranean climate, perfect for growing olive trees and peppers.

Steve Abbot, the director of marketing, expressed, “For the Emissary lineup, we really wanted to pull out all the stops and craft a cigar that epitomizes European sophistication. We are really happy with the result, and based on the popularity of the cigar, we wanted to come out with another great offering. We landed on a box-pressed Torpedo, which brings out the best blend for a smooth smoking experience that highlights the rare tobaccos within.”

The cigar is priced at $17.99 per cigar and is limited to 1,500 boxes, each containing 16 cigars. General Cigar Co. states that the cigars will be shipped this week.
