The Lost & Found Forever Fresh Robusto is one of Caldwell’s Lost & Found series releases.

Lost & Found was born from Robert Caldwell’s adventurous spirit and the desire to give “new life” to cigars forgotten in factories’ aging rooms. Robert Caldwell searched the factories for cigars commissioned by third parties but never collected them for various reasons.

The Forever Fresh line is among the few that were commissioned by Lost & Found. As for the blend, Forever Fresh is made up of a US Broadleaf wrapper grown in Pennsylvania over Nicaraguan binders and fillers. They are manufactured at the Oliva Cigars Co. in Nicaragua. The line consists of four formats and is sold in 20-ct boxes.

The cigar is dressed in a slightly opaque Maduro-colored wrapper with brown reflections. It is rough to the touch, albeit with only a few pronounced veins. The filling is generous, and the construction appears good.

Forever Fresh Robusto 2

Lost & Found Forever Fresh Robusto: intense aromas of black pepper and cocoa are perceptible in the cold draw, followed by less intense earthy notes.

Forever Fresh Robusto 3

Once lit, the smoke appears sapid in the mouth, with a light spicy sensation. After a sharp start, it settles after a few minutes, immediately returning an intense earthy aroma, followed by less marked mineral and woody scents. The strength is medium—full (4/5).

In the central section, the spiciness of the start disappears. At the same time, aromatically, the cigar returns well-defined notes of bark, earth, and mineral, all of equal intensity, enriched by peppery nuances (black pepper). Strength remains unchanged (4/5).

There are no changes in either aromas or strength in the last third (4/5).

Overall, the Forever Fresh Robusto offers an intense smoke, sometimes a bit rough (especially at the start), with a sustained strength that remains unchanged throughout the smoke. The aromas are intense but simultaneously with little refinement (which does not mean it is a flaw). The evolution could be broader—a rustic smoke.
