Steve Saka, maker of the La Sobremesa brand, introduced the line during the IPCPR 2015. The Elegantes en Cedor was a line extension introduced a year later, together with the Short Churchill. As the name suggests, the cigar is wrapped in a cedar sleeve.

The wrapper is oily and of a Maduro shade. Well constructed and to the touch it doesn’t present any flaws.
La Sobremesa Elegantes en Cedro: rich hints of cocoa are present on the cold draw. The opening gives off intense notes of incense.
The first third brings hot spices and black pepper to the palate, joined by an abundant balsamic note. Strength is medium – full (4.5/5).

Now appear notes of nuts (mainly almond) paired with the omnipresent incense, that characterizes this brand.
Overall, the La Sobremesa Elegantes en Cedro releases a creamy smoke, satisfying coupled with a strong persistence. The balance, despite the strength level, is impeccable.
