Foundation Cigar Company announces the release of the Foundation 10-Year Aniversario, a special cigar crafted to commemorate a decade of dedication to the art of premium cigars. This limited-edition will make its debut at the 2025 PCA Trade Show in New Orleans, held from April 11th-14th, and will begin shipping to tobacconists nationwide in Summer/Fall 2025.
Reflecting ten years, the Foundation 10-Year Aniversario showcases a 58 x 178 mm (7”) Salomon features a unique hybrid wrapper combining Connecticut Broadleaf and Connecticut Havana Seed, bringing together the best of two storied tobaccos cultivated in the rich soils of the Connecticut River Valley. Beneath the wrapper, a Mata Fina Brazilian binder envelopes a blend of Nicaraguan fillers from Estelí, Jalapa, and Condega.
“Celebrating ten years of Foundation Cigars is a deeply personal milestone,” said Nicholas Melillo, Founder & Master Blender of Foundation Cigar Company. “For this special release, I wanted to pay tribute to my Connecticut roots while incorporating the finest tobaccos from around Nicaragua. The result is a cigar that truly embodies the heart and soul of Foundation.”
The branding of the Foundation’s 10-Year Aniversario pays tribute to St. George slaying the dragon, a powerful symbol of resilience and perseverance. For Foundation Cigar Company and its founder, Nicholas Melillo, this imagery represents the many challenges faced in the cigar industry and the journey of overcoming obstacles as a business owner. “This cigar is not just a celebration of ten years in the industry—it’s a tribute to the passion, hard work, and relentless dedication it takes to build something meaningful,” said Melillo.
The cigars are priced at $35 each, or $350 for a box of 10. Foundation is producing only 2,000 of these boxes. Additionally, there will be a limited release of a special 20-count box designed for collectors, priced at $700, with only 750 boxes available. These cigars are made at the AJ Fernandez factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
The Foundation 10-Year Aniversario will be available exclusively to PCA attendees before its official market release. Retailers attending the PCA Trade Show in New Orleans will have the first opportunity to secure this historic release before it begins shipping to select tobacconists nationwide in Summer/Fall of 2025.
