Foundation Cigar Company announces the release of Primer Fábrica 1810, an exclusive event-only cigar dedicated to honoring the rich history of American cigar-making. This special release pays tribute to the first known cigar factory in the United States, established in Suffield, Connecticut, in 1810, a region that remains central to the craft of premium cigars to this day.
Foundation Cigar Company’s corporate offices are located in the heart of the Connecticut River Valley, a region renowned for producing some of the world’s finest tobacco. The Primer Fábrica 1810 is a 60 x 146 mm (5 ¾”) soft box-pressed cigar, wrapped in Connecticut Broadleaf, a Brazilian Mata Fina binder and filler tobaccos are un-disclosed, adding an air of mystery and exclusivity to this commemorative release.
This limited three-count box will be available only at Foundation events across the country this Summer 2025 and will not be for sale. Customers attending these exclusive events can receive a Primer Fábrica 1810 box free of charge with the purchase of select Foundation brands, including: The Wise Man, Highclere Castle, Aksum, Charter Oak and The Upsetters.
“This cigar is a tribute to the deep-rooted history of Connecticut tobacco and the origins of cigar-making in America,” said Nicholas Melillo, Founder & Master Blender of Foundation Cigar Company. “As a company headquartered in the Connecticut River Valley, we are proud to continue this legacy while offering a unique and exclusive experience for cigar enthusiasts.”
The Primer Fábrica 1810 will make its debut at the PCA Trade Show in New Orleans this April 2025, offering attendees an exclusive first look at this limited, event-only release.
