The Charter Oak line is a tribute to Connecticut and to Nicholas Melillo’s grandfather, a smoker of Connecticut cigars. Nicholas Melillo has also said that he wanted to create an everyday smoke appreciated by the connoisseurs, as well as being friendly to the wallet. In fact, the prices are around $4-6 per cigar.

The Charter Oak will be offered in two versions of wrapper, a Connecticut Broadleaf and a Connecticut Shade. Both versions are composed of five vitolas:

▪    Grande ( 60 x 152mm)
▪    Lonsdale (46 x 158mm)
▪    Petit Corona (42 x 133mm)
▪    Rothschild (52 x 108mm)
▪    Toro (52 x 152mm)

The filler, for both versions, is made up of Nicaraguan tobacco from the Esteli and Jalapa region. The binder, for the Connecticut Shade version, is a Sumatra, while the Connecticut Broadleaf version has a Nicaraguan Habano binder.
