Fonseca Cosacos

Fonseca Cosacos 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

The Fonseca Cosacos have been made since first the Cuban revolution and they have a long story to tell. From 2012 to 2017, they have also been the bigger size of the brand (the No.1 was discontinued in those years). As all the Cuban Fonseca, cigars are wrapped up in a white and very light tissue paper.

Fonseca Cosacos

Once the tissue paper is remoevd, some green spots on the wrapper can be easily seen. This is pretty common for the brand and it is also a reason for many to think that the white tissue paper is there to cover those defects. The wrapper i smooth to the touch and the filling is good.

Fonseca Cosacos

Fonseca Cosacos: light wood scents on the cold draw. First few puffs confirmed the woody notes.

Fonseca Cosacos

The first section continues on the wood aroma, together with nuts. Strength is very mild (1/5).

The middle section shows no change in both aromatic and strength terms.

In the final section, wood and nuts are still the protagonist. Getting closer to the finale, a light earthy note gets delivered as well. Strength increases a bit (1.5/5), but the cigar is still very mild.

Overall, the Fonseca Cosaco is a very mild Cuban cigar, that delivers a smoke with no particular structure or aroma deepness. The flavor profile is limited and it lacks in intensity.
