Toscano Master Aged Serie 1

Toscano Master Aged Serie 1 1600 900 Giuseppe Mitolo

In recent weeks, Manifatture Sigaro Toscano has released a new line of products called Toscano Master Aged. It is being distributed in Germany, Spain, Romania, and Serbia, while from July, it will also land in the USA. The line consists of three cigars of the same size, but each differs in blend (Series 1, 2, and 3), strictly of Kentucky fire-cured tobacco.

As per tradition, these are bitroncoconical cigars, made by machine with medium filler tobaccos. They are offered in packs of 30 cigars.

The cigars are presented in a dark brown wrapper. To the touch, it is pretty rough, with pronounced veins. The draw is optimal, and the filling is good.

Toscano Master Aged Serie 1

Toscano Master Aged Serie 1: very marked aromas of earth and wood are perceived in the cold draw.

Toscano Master Aged Serie 1

The opening brings a sapid smoke with a bitter hint to the palate. In addition to the classic smoky imprinting (typical of Kentucky fire-cured), intense spicy notes are perceived, followed by less marked earthy and woody nuances. Strength is medium-light (2/5).

In the second half, the bitterness becomes equal to the sapidity. Alongside the notes of wood and earth of the initial third, mineral and nutty aromas are added. Strength remains unchanged (2/5).

In conclusion, the Toscano Master Aged Serie 1 offers a good mix of Italian and American Kentucky tobaccos. It expresses interesting notes, and the evolution, considering the size and construction, is palpable. At times it is slightly pungent and somewhat rustic.
