The Romeo y Julieta Cedros de Luxe No. 2 is one of Habanos SA’s last Corona vitolas in their portfolio. It is part of a triptych of cigars numbered 1 to 3, but the No. 1 went out of production in 2017. It has the particularity, quite rare among the Cuban production, to be wrapped in a cedar sleeve, closed by the band which is affixed right on the sleeve instead of on the cigar.
It is sold in Semi Plain Box of 25 cigars.
With the cedar sleeve removed, the Cedros de Luxe No. 2 is dressed in a wrapper that can vary from Colorado Claro to Claro, depending on the box. Sometimes, behind the cedar sleeve, there are green spots present on the wrapper, which do not affect the quality of the smoke. To the touch, the wrapper quite smooth with medium pronounced veins. The filling is uniform, and the craftsmanship is decent.

Romeo y Julieta Cedros de Luxe No. 2: unlit, vegetal aromas with woody and spicy nuances are perceived.
In conclusion, the Romeo y Julieta Cedros de Luxe No. 2 returns a simple and linear smoke. The profile, although suited to simplicity, offers well-defined aromas. Unfortunately, a very present astringency starting from the second half on, added to a bitter vein that accompanies the whole smoke, leaves the memory of a cigar that is not very balanced.
