Partagas Serie E No. 2

The cigar is wrapped in a Colorado Maduro leaf with reddish reflections. Sometimes some boxes may feature cigars with darker wrappers, almost tending towards Maduro. To the touch, the wrapper is silky, with quite perceptible veins. The filling is uniform, and the general construction is great.

Partagas Serie E No. 2

Partagas Serie E No. 2: well-defined aromas of wood and earth, together with vegetal notes, are perceived.

Partagas Serie E No. 2

The opening reveals a distinctly sapid smoke, with a very evident spicy sensation, which will last through the first third. Flavor-wise, the cigar is expressed with aromas of spices (black pepper above all), wood, and earth, enriched by a very intense woody note. Strength is medium-full (4/5).

In the central section, the sapidity fades while the initial spiciness disappears. The initial wood loses intensity, becoming equal to the earth, while a cocoa nuance appears. Strength remains unchanged (4/5).

In the last third, a slight bitter component appears next to the sapidity. The wood and earth duo are confirmed, while the cocoa is better structured, playing on par with the other two aromas. Strength does not change (4/5).

Overall, the Partagas Serie E No. 2 is a robust smoke that is not particularly complex but not boring either. The profile is true to the brand. The aroma is well defined, and the strength supports them and makes them vibrant throughout the smoke.
