Padron Serie 1926 80 Years: before lighting it up, it delivers light hints of cocoa, almost imperceptible due of the almost closed foot. The opening reveals notes of dried fruit with shell.
The first third turns on aromas of coffee and black pepper, the latter in aftertaste. Advancing into the smoke, seasoned wood and vegetal notes are outlined. The aromatic bouquet is structured and full-bodied. The strength is medium – high (4/5).
The central third alternates notes of earth and dried fruit with shell (mainly walnut). The strength grows slightly, but enough to bring the cigar on a high strength level (4.5 /5).
The final third continues on the notes of dried fruit with shell, although now instead of walnut there is the almond. There are also roasted hints. The aftertaste is peppery and it gets more and more rich approaching the finale, where vegetable aromas also emerge. The strength remains constant (4.5 / 5).
Overall, the Padron Serie 1926 80 Years delivers a full-bodied and very satisfying smoke. The aromatic intensity is excellent, while the evolution is linear and not particularly developed. A great double figurado.
