J.C. Newman Cigar Company has announced some news for 2022. If you are a J.C. Newman fan, you will have some new products to add to your humidor. Drew Newman presented the video news. Drew is the 4th generation owner and general counsel of J.C. Newman cigars.
- The first was the news of the El Baton line. El Baton is one of the original brands made by founder J.C. Newman back in 1914. The brand disappeared in the 1920s but was revived in 2008. The El Baton will be a Nicaraguan Puro, made with 100% Nicaraguan tobacco. Newman said the line has been “revisioned” and will be “Bigger and Bolder.”
- The second news update was about the Diamond Crown Black Diamond line. The line will be getting brand new cigar bands along with a new kind of press finishing. The line will also be receiving extra-aged filler tobacco in the mix.
- The third and final news was about the Cuesta-Rey series. There will be a new addition to the line. The cigar will be called the Angel Cuesta, in honor of the founder of Cuesta-Rey, Angel LaMadrid Cuesta. The new Angel will be made at the El Reloj factory in Tampa, FL. Cigar receives a pigtail cap or a halo, just like an Angel. The new Angel will have to use a Havana seed wrapper.
Newman stated that most of the news will be coming to consumers in the first part of 2022.
