During this week the Illusione’s new Epernay size will arrive at American retailers. It was created to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Illusione line, Illusione Epernay d’Aosta 10th Anniversary.
The Epernay series is named after the French town of the same name considered the capital of Champagne production, whose effervescent wine inspired the sweet and floral character of the cigar. Contrary to the rest of the line, with each size carrying a French name, the new size pays tribute to the region from which the Giolito family originates, namely Valle d’Aosta, in Italy.
Illusion Epernay d’Aosta 10th Anniversary measures 50 x 152 mm. The tobaccos used for the blend come all from Nicaragua and it is important to underline the absence of ligero tobacco, a detail that allows Dion Giolito to emphasize the cigar’s balance and finesse.
The d’Aosta, as well as the rest of the Epernay line, is made in Honduras at Raices Cubanas. They will come in 10 count boxes, that compared to the rest, will be colored. Retail price will be set at $ 12 per single product.
