Davidoff’s Winston Churchill The Late Hour line intends to offer smokers a more substantial smoke than the Winston Churchill line. This is also evidenced by a black band instead of the white one. Different, of course, is the blend of tobacco used, that involves the use of more leaves from more terroir, with the particularity of a Viso, from Condega, that aged six months in ex Single Malt barrels.
Visually, you are immediately struck by a shiny Colorado Maduro shaded wrapper, very different from the usual Ecuador wrapper used by the brand. A sign of a clear departure from the Winston Churchill line. It is silky to the touch, with light veins. Excellent construction, also confirmed by a homogeneous filling and a regular draw.

Davidoff Winston Churchill The Late Hour Robusto: unlit, you perceive intense aromas of hazelnut, that also leave space to notes of wood, pepper and cocoa.
Overall, this Davidoff Winston Churchill the Late Hour Robusto is an intriguing and never borring cigar, thanks to an unusual mix of aromas (noteworthy is the second third, with its sweet component and spicy flavors). Balance and complexity are at the highest levels. The evolution, however, also due to the size, is not particularly broad on the final. However, it remains a convincing product, able to bring the most skeptical aficionados of the brand closer to the Davidoff world.
