The Cornelius & Anthony brand, although new to the cigar market, bases its “Know How” on the Bailey family, which grows tobaccos in Virgina since the 1800s. In fact, the name recalls the founders of the family of Steven Anthony Bailey, the current owner of the brand. Just as a tribute to this long family history of tobacco growers, different cigars were created, all spread over different lines, characterized by different blends. The Daddy Mac line, made at the La Zona factory in Esteli (Nicaragua) is dedicated to Steven’s father, Mac Bailey, and consists of 4 sizes.
The Robusto of the Daddy Mac line is dressed in a shiny Colorado shaded wrapper. It is fairly smooth to the touch, with very smalls veins. The overall construction is good and the draw as well.

Cornelius & Anthony Daddy Mac Robusto: unlit, the aromas are particularly vibrant, with notes of coffee, spices and cocoa.
Overall, the Cornelius & Anthony Daddy Mac Robusto has a striking change of flavors between the second and last third. The aromas, although not many in the number, are well outlined. We had many expectations from this blend, especially for the Brazilian wrapper, which we expected to give the smoked some sweetness, a flavor that never appeared during the smoke. Recommended for lovers of pleasantly bitter smoke.
