Since 1912, Arturo Fuente cigar company has been many colors. In November 2020 they will be going Rare Pink. Pink hasn’t been an usual color for a cigar band in the Fuente portfolio, but this time it is hitting close to the Fuente’s hearts. Pink Ribbons are known around the world for breast cancer awareness. The special edition release of “Rare Pinks” was crafted with Carlos Fuente Jr’s daughter Liana in mind. Breast cancer research is a cause that Liana truly supports. With Breast Cancer still killing more than 40,000 women alone in America, Carlos Fuente Jr’s mind was set to help.
Unfortunately, the Fuente Family have lost a few members to this terrible disease. “July 30th, 2019, we lost our grandmother, Lidia Diaz, to stage four breast cancer. My grandmother was the light of my eyes and the glue in our family. My aunt, Nory, whom I loved with all my heart also lost the battle to cancer almost 15 years ago. I still feel like it was yesterday. I vowed to her, that very day, I would do my part to make a change.” Liana Fuente wrote on the American Cancer Society website.
Rare Pinks will be available in four Hemingway style sizes. The blends and wrapper combinations have been tweaked for this release. Production will be 500 boxes of each size. With each box of Rare Pinks purchased, Fuente will be donating $13 to Breast Cancer research. This release was delayed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Rare Pinks should be available in November 2020.
