The 1502 Black Gold Torpedo is produced by GPC Cigars and is part of the “blended selection” segment, which consists of four lines, including the Black Gold, of six sizes.
The Plasencia family produces them at their factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, and the cigars are sold in 20-ct boxes.
The cigar is dressed in an opaque wrapper, in a Maduro shade with a marbling in lighter tones. It is rough to the touch but with very few marked veins. There are a few gaps present in the filling. The cigar is box-pressed and has a partially closed foot.

1502 Black Gold Torpedo: well-defined aromas of earth and hazelnut are perceived in the cold draw, enriched by woody nuances.
Overall, the 1502 Black Gold Torpedo offers a highly flavorful and intense smoke. The evolution is not very marked but cannot be defined as a flat or dull cigar. The balance between aromas and strength is to the full advantage of the former. A simple product, but not trivial.
