Davidoff Cigars has announced the launch of its most exceptional and rarest creation yet – the Davidoff Oro Blanco Special Reserve 111 Years. This new cigar features tobaccos that have been aged for over a century.
The Oro Blanco is a made of vintage tobaccos, with a combined age of 111 years, crafted by Davidoff’s most experienced craftsmen. This release follows the success of Davidoff’s previous Oro Blanco cigar, which received high acclaim when it was first introduced in 2014.
The new Oro Blanco Special Reserve 111 Years is a rare Dominican Puro of exceptional age and value, and it marks the introduction of “Oro Blanco” as a line of special releases for luxurious, high-quality cigars.
To create this ultra-premium cigar, Davidoff’s Master Blenders have used the oldest and most precious vintage tobaccos from five different terroirs. The blend includes tobaccos that are at least 17 years old, with some being used for the first time in a Davidoff cigar. The entire Dominican puro blend is an impressive 111 years old.
“We cultivate 15 terroirs in the Dominican Republic alone, as this allows us to blend cigars with very diverse and unique flavour profiles. Each of these terroirs yields tobacco with individual characteristics in terms of texture, intensity and taste”, explains Edward Simon, CMO at Oettinger Davidoff. “The new Davidoff Oro Blanco blend is composed with the finest and most aged tobaccos in the industry. The binder and each filler are at least 17 years old, including one that we have never used in a Davidoff cigar before, and that was grown in an area that we no longer cultivate. All tobaccos combined, the Dominican puro is an impressive 111 years old. It is only rolled by our Master Roller supervisors with at least 20 years of experience and is only released when our Master Blenders deem it ready to be enjoyed. I am proud to declare the Oro Blanco Special Reserve 111 Years our rarest cigar to date, offering the ultimate indulgence to aficionados and appealing to collectors of ultra-premium creations”, concludes Simon.
The new Davidoff Oro Blanco Special Reserve 111 Years comes in a 54 x 152 mm (6″) Toro size and will be available in elegant wooden boxes for one or ten cigars. The boxes are designed with the grain of the solid wood resembling the structure of a tobacco leaf, and the Oro Blanco logo is inspired by the rays of the sun. The cigars will be available from 17 October 2024 at select Davidoff appointed merchants and HORECA outlets, as well as Davidoff flagship stores worldwide, with a suggested retail price of $750 per cigar.
