Earlier this year, Casdagli Cigars announced the addition of the Rosetta Maduro to their Cabinet Selection line. Originally, the Rosetta was the first size the Cabinet Selection line was launched with back in 2015. The line was designed to be paired with coffee. This is also why all the sizes carry coffee-related names.
Blend-wise, this Petit-Pyramide is dressed in an Ecuadorian Corojo Maduro leaf, while the regular Rosetta is wrapped in a Dominican Cotui leaf. Binder and filler remain the same.
The different wrapper is not the only visible change for the Rosetta, with the band being inversed from the usual gold, with black details, to black, with gold details. The wrapper itself is of a dark brown Maduro color. There is not much sheen present, and the leaf itself is quite rustic. Construction is good.

Casdagli Cabinet Selection Rosetta Maduro: the cold draw reveals light notes of hay and cocoa. Once the cigar is lit, it opens with wood and cocoa.
Overall, the Casdagli Cabinet Selection Rosetta Maduro is a smooth little smoke. While the flavors are limited in number, they are nuanced, but still intense enough to be made out. A good smoke to accompany your morning coffee with.
