General Cigar Co. introduced a new cigar to its CAO Arcana series named Thunder Smoke. This cigar is unique as it is the first in the line’s portfolio to be blended with all-African filler tobacco.
The Thunder Smoke is named after the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, known locally as “Mosi-Oa-Tunya,” which translates to “The smoke that thunders” in Lozi, a Bantu language. The filler tobacco is sourced from Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Cameroon. The cigar also features a Honduran Olancho San Augustin wrapper and a Mexican San Andrés binder, resulting in a medium-bodied blend.
Thunder Smoke is exclusively available in a Toro size, measuring 52 x 165 mm (6 1/2″), and is priced at $12.99 each. It comes in 20-count boxes and is produced in limited quantities. Furthermore, Thunder Smoke is the third release in the Arcana series, following Mortal Coil in 2021 and Firewalker in 2022.
