The Bolívar Regentes Edición Limitada 2021 is a cigar that measures 52 x 130 mm (5 1/8″), also known as Discretos in Cuban cigar factories. While they were first presented in 2021, by now, it should come as no surprise that they only were released last year.
It is the 4th time that the brand has been given the honor of producing an Edición Limitada for Habanos. It is packaged in luxury slide-lid boxes containing 25 cigars.
The wrapper is of an oily Maduro color that is quite smooth to the touch. Construction is good, with a generous filling and a perfect draw.

Bolívar Regentes Edición Limitada 2021: Aromas of hay and leather are revealed in the cold draw. Once lit, the cigar opens with well defined notes of cocoa and earth.
Further into the first third, the aromas of cocoa and earth are flanked by leather. There is also a peppery spice present in the retro hale. The strength is a solid medium (3/5).
A nutty component is added to the flavor profile, while the pepper note has moved to the foreground in the second third. The strength remains unchanged.
The flavor profile and strength do not change in the last third, with the exception of the smoke becoming spicier toward the end.
Overall, the Bolívar Regentes Edición Limitada 2021 is an already well approachable and flavorful smoke. That being said, it lacks in evolution and is, therefore, a rather linear smoke, especially from the second third on.
