Blackbird Unkind Cubra is a brand made in the Dominican Republic. Its blend uses a Brazilian wrapper over a Dominican binder and fillers from the USA and the Dominican Republic.

Aesthetically the Robusto is dressed in a Colorado Maduro shaded leaf, particularly rough to the touch. The foot of the cigar is closed, and the filling is generous and uniform. Excellent construction.

Blackbird Unkind Cubra Robusto: the cold draw reveals sweet scents of honey and earth. The opening is very masculine and straightforward. Intense notes of black pepper and earth are perceived.

The first third of the smoke is quite “rough”, with notes of earth and pepper that are rather sharp and not particularly balanced. Vegetal nuances are also perceptible. Strength is medium-full (4/5).

The spicy notes become more pronounced in the central section and tend to dominate the rest of the flavors, i.e., earth and toasted notes. The strength remains unchanged (4/5).

The last third confirms the flavor profile and strength (4/5). However, the smoke gradually becomes dryer.

Overall, The Blackbird Unkind Cubra Robusto is a sharp and not particularly balanced smoke that, at times, tends to be on the dry and bitter side.
