The AVO Serie XO Preludio is a cigar made in the Dominican Republic. Five are the sizes belonging to the XO line, which is one of the most prestigious of the brand. The tobacco used in the cigars is aged for at least six years. They are commercialized in orange boxes of 20 cigars.
The cigars are rolled up in a Colorado Claro wrapper that is silky to the touch. Construction is excellent, with cigars filled generously and uniform.

AVO XO Preludio: the cold draw reveals scents of earth and sawdust. The opening is a mix of wood and nuts on a sweet base.
The first third is all about earth, seasoned wood and a touch of spices, the latter almost unperceptible. The strength is mild (2/5).
In the middle third, the woody aroma becomes the protagonist while the spices become a little more intense. Strength is still mild (2/5).
The final third confirms the flavor profile, while the strength reaches the medium level (3/5).
Overall, the AVO XO Preludio is a well-balanced cigar with a harmonious flavor profile but one that is rather limited in terms of the number of aromas. That said, the flavors are structured.
