The Alec Bradley Trilogy Exotic Maduro is one of the three cigars released under the Trilogy Collector’s Series. The Trilogy is a unique triangular pressed cigar that Alan Rubin, owner of Alec Bradley Cigar Company, had brainstormed during a fishing trip. More information on that release can be found here.

The Exotic Maduro features a Maduro wrapper from Jalapa, Nicaragua, over a Honduran Connecticut seed binder and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras. Cigars are produced at the Tobacos De Oriente in Danli, Honduras.

The cigar is dressed up in a Maduro Oscuro leaf that is slightly rough to the touch. The filling is generous, and the cigar is box-pressed

Alec Bradley Trilogy Exotic Maduro: the cold draw reveals scents of cocoa and ripe fruit. The opening brings notes of earth, seasoned wood, and vegetal nuances to the palate.

The first third of the smoke releases seasoned wood and nutty notes, with hints of hazelnut and rich walnut. The earthy aroma is confirmed with a touch of black pepper. Strength is just slightly above medium (3.5/5).

In the second third, hot spices are added while the black pepper intensifies. Strength also increases, reaching a medium to full level (4/5). The smoke is slightly dry.

In the last third, the flavor profile is confirmed, as well as the strength. The finish is well balanced.

Overall, the Alec Bradley Trilogy Exotic Maduro gives off a rich but slightly dry smoke, and the cigar is well balanced from the first to the last puff.
