The Last Call Maduro was the follow up of the successful Last Call line. The Maduro version was released at 2016’s IPCPR, only a couple of months after the regular hit the shelves. Another couple of months later, both lines received some additional sizes, which brought the single size line, which was the Geniales, up to a five size line.

While it is a Nicaraguan Puro, the wrapper is rather particular, it is a Pennsylvanian Broadleaf Seed grown in Nicaragua by AJ Fernandez himself.
Although small in size, the construction is impeccable.
AJ Fernandez Last Call Maduro Geniales: unlit, notes of barnyard, earth and spices (mainly black pepper) are outlined. The opening brings rich spicy notes to the palate (black pepper in particular).
The first half alternates notes of earth, cocoa and balsamic herbs. Strength is full bodied (5/5).
There are also hints of almond in the background. Strength decreases slightly, but it remains on the fuller side of things (4.5/5).
The flavor profile is structured and this small cigar is incredibly satisfying.
