In late December, Sichuan Tobacco Industry Co., Ltd. and China Tobacco International Group Limited hosted two key events: the “Celebration of the First Anniversary of the Great Wall Life Hong Kong Flagship Store and the 2025 Great Wall Cigar New Product Launch” and the “Great Wall Cigar Tasting Event for the 25th Anniversary of Macau’s Return to the Motherland” in Hong Kong and Macau.
At the Hong Kong event, Great Wall Cigar introduced two high-end handmade cigars: the Great Wall Year of the Snake Limited Edition and the Great Wall Spectacular No. 3 Vintage 2020. Local retailers and media representatives received seven awards for their support of the brand.
The Great Wall Year of the Snake Limited Edition is the first Culebra cigar from Great Wall, blended in 2017. It features premium aged tobacco and offers rich, complex flavors. The box design symbolizes fortune with a golden snake among clouds, and it’s limited to 2,025 boxes, each of which retails for 2,880 HKD.
The Great Wall Spectacular No. 3 Vintage 2020 is Great Wall’s best-selling cigar. The 2020 Vintage will be available in Hong Kong and Macau markets to celebrate New Year 2025. The Robusto-sized cigar is limited to 800 10-ct boxes and retails for 1,880 HKD per box.
In Macau, two ultra-premium cigars were unveiled: the Great Wall GL No. 1 Reserve Commemorative Edition, the Great Wall × San Luis Limited Customization Canonazo, and the limited editions reintroduced from Hong Kong.
Great Wall GL No. 1 Reserve Commemorative Edition celebrates Macau’s 25th anniversary, this edition features a pair of Chinese porcelain jars and the Great Wall GL No. 1 cigar. The Double Corona vitola is limited to 100 jars, each containing twenty cigars. The retail price per pair of jars is 52,888 HKD.
The Great Wall × San Luis Limited Customization Canonazo is limited to 1,000 boxes. This cigar combines Chinese tobacco with oak barrel fermentation and comes in a black lacquered humidor. It is sold in 10-ct boxes at a retail price of 3,980 HKD.
Both events gathered numerous industry representatives and influencers. Since early 2024, Great Wall Cigar has focused on the Hong Kong and Macau markets, collaborating with top distributors to introduce their products to over 30 cigar lounges and shops.
