Merchant Gordo: the cold draw reveals aromas of hay with a sweet undertone. Once lit, notes of coffee and white pepper are revealed.

Further into the first third, the notes of coffee and white pepper are complimented by wood and nuts, primarily hazelnut. Hints of sweetness remain present in the background. The strength level is a solid medium (3/5).

In the second third, a herbal note adds to the flavor profile. The sweetness has faded, while the strength remains the same.

The hazelnut note dominates the final third, complemented by previous aromas of coffee, white pepper, wood, and herbs. The strength remains medium.

Overall, the Merchant Gordo provides a well-balanced and smooth smoke. The aromas harmonize nicely, and the controlled strength enhances their perception. Although the evolution is linear, the complexity of the profile creates an enjoyable smoke.
