The Montecristo Wide Edmundo was announced by Habanos SA back in 2021 and joins the Edmundo family, bringing the total size count to four vitolas.
The factory’s name is Duke No. 3, and the Wide Edmundo can be bought in various options. It is available in aluminium tubes, 3-ct cardboard packs, or Semi boîte nature boxes of 10 or 25 cigars.
The cigar comes dressed in a smooth Colorado-shaded wrapper. Construction is flawless, except for the draw, which is a bit open.

Montecristo Wide Edmundo: vegetal and grassy aromas are perceived in the cold draw. Once lit, it opens with marked nutty and leathery notes.
Overall, the Montecristo Wide Edmundo is a balanced cigar, and the flavor profile aligns with the brand. This does not apply to the strength you’d expect from a Montecristo; it is surprisingly light. While it is a pretty approachable cigar, the evolution is linear, and the smoke lacks in body.
