The new La Flor Dominicana Solis was created by the youngest of the Gomez family, Litto Gomez Jr., and is the counterpart of the brand’s La Nox line. The youngest Gomez worked with his father, Litto Gomez, on the blend, and his older brother, Tony Gomez, helped with the design.

“I was inspired by my big brother’s project La Nox and wanted to create something that contrasted it. We have pretty different personalities, and I thought that the sun and moon were a perfect metaphor to describe us,” said Litto Gomez Jr.

The Solis comes in the same size as the La Nox, a 50 x 165mm (6 1/2″) Toro Extra size. Blind-wise, the Solis consists of an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and Dominican fillers from the company’s own La Canela farm. Like the La Nox, the Solis will be a limited production release.

La Flor Dominicana Solis is sold in twenty-count boxes with a retail price of $244 per box, and a specific release date is not set yet. Still, the company is looking to release the cigar in late September/early October.
