Arturo Fuente starting construction for their Nicaraguan Factory

Since Carlos Fuente Jr. announced plans to return to Nicaragua and build a new factory in Esteli, more than four years have passed. Fast forward to today, and the company has announced that they will break ground on the property and begin the construction of the “Gran Fabrica de Tabacos La Bella y La Bestia.”

The Fuentes have been growing tobacco in Nicaragua for a couple of years now and already had a factory in Nicaragua that was destroyed in 1978 during the Nicaraguan Revolution.

Felix Mesa (second from the right) will oversee the new factory’s operation.
