What has become a “must” of the Compagnia Toscana Sigari, after the 2018 and 2019 editions, the Super Tuscan Tornabuoni 2020 is now being distributed. Nothing varies in size (175mm in length and 20mm in diameter on the belly), in the packaging and in the blend. The tobaccos used are the result of the harvests of the years 2017, 2018, and 2019. The cigar is made with a binder and with long-filler tobaccos.
Once the package is opened, the cigar’s opulence is enhanced by a bright dark brown wrapper. To the touch, it is rough but not too much, with not too pronounced veins. The filling is generous and uniform. The draw is regular.

Super Tuscan Tornabuoni 2020: on the nose, there are marked aromas of carob, followed by slightly less pronounced notes of wood and leather, present.
Once lit, the start is sweet but also sapid, perfectly balanced between each other. There is also some spiciness present, distinctive of this product, but which vanishes within a few minutes. It develops pronounced flavors of cocoa and wood, followed by mineral nuances. Strength is medium-full (4/5).
In the central section, the sweetness completely gives way to the sapidity. The wood remains unchanged and is joined by an equally vigorous note of earth. A mineral note also enriches the flavor profile. Strength becomes full (5/5).
In the final third, a bitter note appears alongside the unchanged sapidity. Next to the wood, it develops notes of bitter almond and balsamic sensations. The strength remains unchanged (5/5).
This version of the Super Tuscan appears to be more multifaceted than the previous two. The flavor profile develops intense and varied notes. It is a cigar that, due to its nicotine strength and the smoking time (over 2 and a half hours), is more suited for smokers used to Italian Kentucky cigars. The balance between aromas and strength is at the razor’s edge. However, it remains a widely enjoyable smoke.
