Aganorsa Leaf is the new name of Casa Fernandez, named for Aganorsa, an important company that takes care of several plantations in Nicaragua. In July 2019, the Maduro version of the Signature Selection line was presented at the IPCPR. All tobaccos are grown between Jalapa and Estelì and half a leaf of medio tiempo is also used in the blend.
The new line consists of four sizes, same as the Natural version, including this Robusto.
Once the silver foil, covering half of the cigar, is removed (in the natural version the foil is golden) the wrapper presents itself in all its opulence. A bright Maduro shade, with red reflections. It is very smooth to the touch, with very light veins. The filling is generous and the draw appears to be slightly tight. Construction is excellent.

Aganorsa Leaf Signature Selection Maduro Robusto: unlit it presents very pronounced notes of cocoa and hazelnut, followed by woody nuances.
In conclusion, this Aganorsa Leaf Signature Selection Maduro Robusto proves to be a very satisfying cigar for those looking for well pronounced flavors followed by a sustained, but never overwhelming, strength. The evolution is also respectable, with a last third that is the best, flavor-wise, among the other thirds. Nevertheless, the cigar, on the palate, is slightly rough around the edges and the flavors are not very round either.
