Alma del Fuego is the third and latest addition to the Alma family, made by Plasencia Cigars. The Fuego is inspired by Ometepe island, in Nicaragua, due to the rich volcanic soils, ideal for growing tobacco. The use of Ometepe tobacco is very noticeable, and the name of this line could not have been more appropriate. The hot spices are the signature flavors.
Earth and hints of mineral give way to the smoke, which is initially slightly peppery. Then the rhythm increases, and the cigar releases a blast of hot spices, enriched with coffee, leather and balsamic herbs.

HOW ARE THE AWARDS MADE?
Among the cigars tested during the year in blind tastings and reviews, those that scored the best score get re-selected. These products were then tested once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The test results are then compared and the TOP 5 are made.
Since 2015, CigarsLover Magazine has focused on terroirs, in order to give the right space to all the producing countries.
From 2018, the TOP 5 were paired with the TOP 50, which lists the 50 best cigars without distinction of origin. This list, together with the Best Brands, the Best Buy and the Best Boutique Brands, will be published in Winter 2019 issue of CigarsLover Magazine.
