On July 2, Drew Estate announced the expected release, on the US market, of the Isla del Sol Maduro line, which differs from the previous version thanks to the wrapper leaf. The cigar is made with Maduro wrapper tobacco, instead of Indonesian Sumatra. In addition, the original release will include a new size: Gordito 60 x 152 mm. Both releases will be presented at the coming IPCPR convention to be held in Las Vegas from July 14th to 17th.
Isla del Sol Maduro is characterized by a filler consisting of three different Nicaraguan tobaccos and infused with coffee. The head consists of a so-called sweetened cap, so that the first sensation felt, at each puff, is the sweetness. According to the producer, the infusion process associated with the excellent combustion and a thick smoke, will create an ‘island of joy’. The line will be available in 10 count boundles and in the following sizes:
- Churchill, 50 x 178 mm
- Gran Corona, 44 x 127 mm
- Robusto, 52 x 127 mm
- Toro, 52 x 152 mm
Isla del Sol Sun Grown Gordito (60 x 152 mm) will instead be sold in 16 count boxes.
