The Royal Danish Regal Blend Queen No.1 is a cigar produced in Panama and measures 52 x 127mm.
This cigar has also a version called Gold, reason behind is the small cut out pieces of gold foil that are laid over the wrapper.
The blend, for both versions of this cigar, is made up of:
• Wrapper: Ecuador
• Binder: Nicaragua
• Filler: Jamaica, Panama
Aesthetically, the cigar is well made with a homogeneous filling. The wrapper is of a Colorado Maduro tonality.
Royal Danish Regal Blend Queen No.1: notes of spices (black pepper) in the cold draw. The opening produces notes of cocoa and the black pepper from the cold draw.
The first third brings notes of wood, cocoa and hints of citrus to the palate. Strength is medium full (4/5).
The second third becomes spicier, with the black pepper moving to the front, again followed by cocoa, which stays well present. Strength is constant.
The final section alternates cocoa and citrus; the black pepper notes are less intense now, but stay present until the end of the smoke. Strength doesn’t present any changes and the finale is balanced and satisfying.
Overall, a balanced smoke with great intensity. Excellent complexity, good evolution. Burn and combustion are flawless.
