The capa is a reddish colorado one, oily and with no evident nervation. Filling seems almost excessive when touched.

Partagas Corona Gordas Añejados: before lighting the cigar up, herbal notes can be perceived. Opening delivers spices and earth notes.

The first tercio is in line with Partagas style: earth and wood notes, with a spicy and black pepper background. Moving on in the fruition, hazelnut and leather are added. Strength is medium (3/5).

In the second tercio black pepper becomes more evident. Aromas are rich and the fruition is creamy. Moving on in the tercio herbal and toasty notes reach the palate. Strength increases, reaching a medium–high standard (4/5).

The third tercio is characterized by the appearance of a slightly bitter note. The finish gives off rich piquant spices. Strength keeps being medium-high (4/5).

Globally a Partagas brand coherent cigar. Aromas are intense, and persistency is remarkable. The only defect is the very subtle bitter note which is given in the last smoke segment. A round of applause to the smoking mechanics and to the very robust ash.
