Davidoff Aniversario No.3, a Toro in size, is one of seven cigars in the 702 line, characterized by it wrapper leaf cultivated in Cotopaxi, Ecuador. The wrapper was obtained from a hybrid of three different Cuban seeds.

The wrapper of the Aniversario n. 3 is of a shiny Colorado tonality. Smooth to the touch and free of any evident veins. Filling, as well as the construction, are excellent, in perfect Davidoff fashion.
Davidoff 702 Series Aniversario No.3: the flavors in the cold draw resemble hazelnut and coffee, with a hint of honey. Good flavor intensity.
The first third plays on the balance between sweet and salty, recalling aromas of coffee and spices (medium pronounced), with light notes of cellulose. Strength is medium (3/5).
In the second third is where the cigar becomes increasingly more interesting, with a good evolution and the saltiness becoming predominant: the coffee note stays, while intense notes of citrus, walnut and wood accompanies it. Strength stays unchanged (3/5).
In the final third a light bitter note appears, which follows the more pronounced saltiness. The aromatic array, while not being the most ample, is convincing and well balanced between wood and hazelnut, with a just hinted note of coffee. Strength stays medium.
Overall, the smoke that the Aniversario n. 3 gives off is very balanced and the quality of the aromas, coming from it, are interesting and satisfying. The only drawback is the not very pronounced aromatic intensity, which would have given a higher vote. All in all a good cigar, with a rather long smoking time due to its generous filling.
