The Cohiba Siglo V belongs to the Linea 1492, that was introduced to the market back in 1994. The size is “Dalia,” and it is commercialized in 25-ct boxes or in tubos. Before 2017, it was also available in cardboard packs of 5 cigars. As all the other “Siglo”, after 2014 the cigars are dressed up with the hologram band.

Cigars are rolled in an oily Colorado leaf, with reddish shades. The filling appears generous to the touch.

Cohiba Siglo V: the cold draw reveals scents of wood, sweet tobacco, and nuts. The opening delivers notes of wood, together with a touch of white pepper.

The first third alternates aromas of white pepper, cedar wood and some vegetal hints. The strength is medium-light (2.5/5).

In the second third, the flavor profile is confirmed, with the spices and wood alternating, together with a vegetal note, the latter mainly perceivable in the background. In some puffs, a delicate nutty vein is present. The strength doesn’t change (2.5/5).

In the last third, the flavor profile continues with white pepper, cedar wood and nuts. Towards the end, the vegetal notes becomes balsamic and an earthy notes appear in the finale. The strength increases a little, reaching a medium level (3/5).

Overall, the Cohiba Siglo V is a cigar that delivers a smooth, elegant, and harmonious smoke. Despite its length, the evolution is not among the most noticeable, and the complexity is rather limited.
